Alexander Albon

Date of birth: 23.3.1996
Nationality: Thai
F1 debut: 2019
Successes: 7th (2019)

He started his Formula 1 career in 2019 with Toro Rosso. In the middle of the season, he switched to Red Bull and became Max Verstappen’s new teammate. Albon raced for the Austrian team in 2020 as well but was as far behind Verstappen as his predecessor Gasly. For this reason, Red Bull decided to engage Sergio Pérez instead of Albon for 2021. In 2021, Albon raced GT3 cars in the DTM, but Red Bull still found a place for him to return to F1. He signed up with Williams and, after scoring some good results with his uncompetitive car, completely restarted his career in F1.

Albon's great performance in 2023 even put him on the radar of top teams. He'll still drive for Williams in 2024, but it's unclear how long he'll stay.
